the skateroom has teamed up with leading illustrators jeremyville, jean jullien and steven harrington for a new collection dedicated to graphics and illustration. the three have produced new work on limited-edition decks that employs their often sharp and clever social commentary. as with previous collaborations, including ai weiwei, grayson perry and andy warhol’s, the skateroom works together with skateistan – an international NGO – to donate 10% of the turnover to the support of social projects empowering at-risk children.

for the skateroom‘s latest exclusive edition, the three illustrators have created new works that carry their signature style. ‘the titles of the four boards, yesterday, today, forever and eternity, represent the four stages of our lives: struggle, resolution, growth and epiphany, and the overarching concept concerns itself with the answers that can come from positive action, discipline, vision, and endurance,’ explains jeremyville of his pieces. the new york-based artist and designer is known for his youthful characters that encourage environmental action and social change through the illustrations he produces.

london-based jean jullien has portrayed the conviviality of skateparks in his editions, entitled ‘the triangle and the bowl’. the designer’s trademark, brightly-hued characters are a means of personal calls to action, using humor and social commentary. steven harrington‘s collaboration with the skateroom includes ‘anxiety’ and ‘rosé’, two designs that incorporate the mixed-media designer’s humorous style, finished with psychedelic-pop palm trees and motifs in block colors. ‘I’ve always regarded art and skateboarding as great creative outlets that can further enrich our youth, and should be fully accessible to the greater public,’ notes harrington.
