originally published in 2018 the publication is comprised of a linen-covered, wooden box that houses 13 prints sized at 11 by 15 inches each. each piece features detailed graphics in the artist’s illustrative style, printed on velvet fine art paper. pages go onto detail the correct way to assemble a cheeseburger with measurements of mustard, ketchup and reconstituted onion all included. yum.

tom sachs’ special edition mcdonald’s graphic standards retails for $10,000 and is limited to 30 units with all copies already sold out. if you were lucky enough get your hands on a copy you would have emailed his publisher, hamilton press, at [email protected] and if you were lucky enough to get your hand on a copy you will be excited to know that the editions arrive with embroidered cotton gloves featuring mcdonald’s branding by sachs…for careful perusing.

  • I probably have not had anything from there in 20 years …and, Yes, they are easy to mock.

BUT, any company has to have some simple, basic operating norms – especially if they are not hiring a ‘creative’ team at every store location. Sachs has clearly never been in the Military. This is a closed-eye shot at an easy target.
