the freedom we’re all looking for is in these whimsical paper campers

vera van wolferen has created another series of whimsical objects — tiny paper campers meticulously garnished with paper kites and clerestory windows. each in the series of 12, signed and numbered, glass-jarred scenes is made to order, with the exception of one ready-to-go home-delivered DIY kit, with a video tutorial to follow along to as you piece together your own camper.

don’t feel bad if it doesn’t turn out as well as wolferen’s. she’s been making these lovely scenes for years now, and they just keep getting more refined. minus the whole stuck-in-a-jar-part, wouldn’t you like to just shrink down and live inside them? for more scenes that make you long for a simpler, beautifully minimal life, follow her work on behance and on her website, here.
