during his time in confinement, due to the COVID-19 spread, vincent leroy has found time to test his new mobile installation in the sunny sky of paris. the project is essentially an alternative to his old lens installations, only now he has used fresnel lenses to filter the reality in a poetic way.

having already been tested in leroy‘s studio workshop and in a gallery area, it is apparent that the installation creates an impressive effect. the combination of movement and the reflections of the fresnel lenses, provide an interesting visual experience. when used on the rooftops of the city, the wind blows on the lenses which lightly distort the surroundings, creating a dream-like environment. in this way, the subtle mix of simple technology and poetic interpretation detach the conscious mind of reality. the artist compares his project to an intriguing game of fluidity: ‘everything seems to breathe : no beginning, no end, just a stream.‘ he notes.
