buzzfeedvideo researched the heritage of three women and transformed them into the female figures of their past. each were given head-to-toe makeovers inspired by their backgrounds, changing the style of their hair, dress, accessories and makeup. an indian model, an english-irish-scottish participant and a female with chinese-taiwanese parents each explore diverse beauty traditions through the application of historical references such as jewels and headpieces. upon seeing their new look, the women were not only surprised by the dramatic changes in their physical appearance, but also learned about the kind of cultural beauty customs practiced in the past.
