‘the most beautiful swiss books’ exhibition

‘the most beautiful swiss books’ is an annual competition held by the swiss government. every year around 30 books are awarded with an exhibition at the museum of design in zurich and the mudac in lausanne.

this year the organizers decided to exhibit all the 395 books that are entered in the competition, giving an insight in the juding process and showing the variety of entered books.

exhibition designers katharina ludwig and florian kräutli created a domino-like installation. the awarded books are slightly emphasized by standing on a pedestal but otherwhise integrated in the circle. visitors are invited to walk through the space and browse through all the books.

‘the most beautiful swiss books’ is on display at the museum für gestaltung in zurich until the 5th of july.
