In cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for the International Ministerial Conference on Nuclear Power in the 21st Century
Generation Atomic is launching our first ever art competition, and we want you to enter! We need you to help the world see what we see: that nuclear power is a clean technology vital in the fight against climate change, in protecting biodiversity, and making a just transition to a clean energy economy.
Why take part?
By submitting your artwork, we will be able to spread positive imagery of nuclear energy, break down old stereotypes, and promote a keystone climate change solution.
- There is no cost to enter
- This competition is open to people of all ages and skill levels
- Digital submissions of all mediums of artwork are accepted (including digitally rendered artwork)
- Artists can submit as many entries as they desire
- 1st: $5,000
- 2nd: $2,500
- 3rd: $1,000
Three winners and a select number of finalists will be chosen. All finalists will receive a certificate of recognition.
In addition to cash prizes above, many submissions will be exhibited during the International Ministerial Conference on Nuclear Power in the 21st Century in Washington, D.C. One artist will be invited to speak on a panel reimagining the future of nuclear power.
Theme: The Future of Nuclear Power
How might nuclear power solve problems we’re facing today? We’re looking for your brightest ideas, whether it be reimagining a current nuclear design, demonstrating how nuclear power is important to the world, or emphasizing a reason why nuclear power is important. Some things to think about when choosing your design include:

- Clean energy aspirations
- Access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all
