2027 French Design Awards
Celebrating Design Without Boundaries
The French Design Awards is an international design competition organised by the International Awards Associate (IAA), recognising outstanding design across disciplines and borders. Open to designers, architects, studios, brands, agencies, innovators, and emerging talents worldwide, the competition celebrates work that demonstrates creativity, purpose, functionality, and lasting impact.
Built around the idea of “Celebrating Design Without Boundaries,” the French Design Awards provides a global platform for work that shapes environments, improves experiences, advances ideas, and creates meaningful connections through design. From architecture and interiors to products, packaging, fashion, landscape, conceptual work, and digital experiences, the competition brings diverse forms of design excellence together on an international stage.
Beyond recognition, the French Design Awards is designed to extend the visibility of winning work through international showcases, editorial opportunities, winner interviews, social media promotion, and professional award assets, giving designers, studios, and brands opportunities to strengthen credibility and bring their achievements to wider audiences.

Eligibility & Entry Process
The competition is open internationally to established professionals, independent designers, studios, companies, brands, and emerging talents.

Entries are submitted entirely online. Entrants provide a project brief of approximately 350 words outlining the design concept, objectives, and key achievements, together with supporting visual materials. Images should be submitted in JPEG/JPG format at no more than 4MB each, while video and audio materials may be provided through direct Vimeo, YouTube, or any accessible links.
Entries may also be submitted across multiple relevant categories to broaden the opportunities for their work to be evaluated and recognised.

Impact / Memorability
Awards & Recognition
There are four levels of achievement in the French Design Awards:
Design of the Year — awarded to the highest-scoring Platinum-winning entry within each main category
Platinum Winner — 85–100 points
Gold Winner — 75–84 points
Silver Winner — 65–74 points
At the highest level, Design of the Year recipients receive the Maia Statuette, representing creativity, innovation, and exceptional design achievement.
Winner benefits extend beyond the title itself. Depending on the winning level, recognition opportunities include dedicated winner profiles, winner interviews, editorial and media exposure, social media features, press release support, certificates, winner badges, and visibility across the French Design Awards and its media platforms.
With designers represented from more than 50 countries and thousands of entries evaluated, the French Design Awards continues to build an international community where exceptional work can earn independent recognition, strengthen professional credibility, and gain visibility beyond borders.
The 2027 French Design Awards is now open for entries, inviting designers, studios, architects, brands, and innovators worldwide to place their strongest work on an international stage.
