2027 NYX Design Awards
2027 NYX Design Awards Opens Global Call for Entries Across 12 Design Disciplines
The **2027 NYX Design Awards** is now accepting entries from designers, architects, creative studios, manufacturers, brands and organisations worldwide, marking the inaugural launch of an international competition dedicated to recognising design excellence, innovation and lasting industry impact.
Organised by the International Awards Associate (IAA), the competition builds upon the established legacy of the NYX Awards, which has recognised creative excellence since 2017. The NYX Design Awards introduces a dedicated platform celebrating the products, spaces, environments, communications and digital experiences that shape how people live, work and interact with the world.
Recognising Excellence Across 12 Design Disciplines
The NYX Design Awards welcomes submissions across twelve major design disciplines:
- Product Design
- Packaging Design
- Furniture Design
- Lighting Design
- Architectural Design
- Interior Design
- Urban Design & Public Space
- Landscape Design
- Communication & Graphic Design
- Digital Experience & Interaction Design
- Concept & Experimental Design
- Exhibition & Spatial Design
From architectural environments and innovative consumer products to visual identities, immersive spaces and emerging design concepts, the competition celebrates work that demonstrates originality, craftsmanship, functionality and purposeful innovation.
Independent International Judging
Entries are evaluated by an international panel of experienced design professionals through an independent blind judging process.
Each eligible project is assessed against five criteria: Creativity & Originality, Design Excellence, Innovation, User Experience & Functionality, and Industry Impact.
The judging framework places emphasis on the quality and merit of each submission, recognising designs that demonstrate both creative distinction and meaningful contributions to their intended users, industries or communities.
Recognition for Projects, Designers and Teams
The NYX Design Awards recognises exceptional design achievements through Silver Winner, Gold Winner, Grand Winner and Design of the Year distinctions.
Beyond individual projects, the programme introduces the Annual NYX Honours, recognising sustained professional achievement through NYX Designer Honours and NYX Design Team Honours.
This framework provides opportunities for independent designers, established studios and collaborative teams to gain recognition for both individual achievements and their wider contributions to the design industry.
Award recipients receive official digital recognition materials, winner certificates, online gallery exposure and opportunities for international publicity, supporting professional credibility and greater visibility within the global design community.
Open to Designers and Organisations Worldwide
The competition welcomes entries from independent designers, architects, design studios, creative agencies, manufacturers, brands, educational institutions, students and emerging professionals.
Eligible work includes completed, conceptual, commissioned, prototype, experimental and unpublished designs created, launched, completed, published or substantially updated on or after 1 January 2022, subject to the competition's eligibility requirements.
Submissions are completed online, allowing participants to present their design concepts, supporting visuals and project information for international evaluation.
