2018 A' design awards & competition - call for entries

founded to identify, inform and improve creative disciplines in all forms, the A’ design award & competition recognizes as well as in most cases, first reveals the very best of design, architecture and art practices from around the world. as such, it is the largest program of its kind. it provides a fair and ethical platform for architects, designers, and innovators alike to submit their work, with the winning projects rewarded with worldwide fame and publication. at its forefront, the competition only advocates for the pinnacle in the creative fields. this is with the aim of improving international awareness, the understanding of good design principles, and expanding the boundaries for future designs.

registered participants are encouraged to submit and nominate their best designs here  to the A design award & competition before the submissions deadline on february 28th. winners of the competition will be announced in a special feature on designboom on april 15th 2018.

with over 100 different categories, the A’ design awards & competition is renowned for its project diversity and scope. this means that, be it conceptual, prototyped or realized, each entry can be classified and assessed under its most relevant creative subject. to just name a few, these categories include: furniture, decorative items and homeware design; lighting products and projects design; architecture, building and structure design; interior space and exhibition design; packaging design; and vehicle, mobility and transportation design. (the full list of A’ design award & competition categories can be seen here).

the winning projects of the more than 100 different categories of the A’ design awards & competition are rewarded with many benefits and privileges. laureates attain global credibility, fame, awareness, prestige and publicity, as well as a comprehensive and extensive winner’s kit. furthermore, winners showcase themselves and their designs at the A’ design award exhibition, are published in the annual yearbook, receive an invitation to the networking-ideal gala-night, and are included in the established world design rankings. if that was not enough, receiving the prize also ensures that the creative’s work is communicated and promoted to magazines and online platforms such as designboom, receives marketing and consultancy opportunities, and awarded the coveted trophy.

the A’ design award & competition prides itself for its strong international jury and fair award methodology. every entry submitted is reviewed by their comprehensive jury, which is composed of design professionals, members of the press and academics, in order to ensure that each project receives full and honest consideration. enhancing a special selection methodology, the submissions are chosen after an arduous process involving closed voting, cross-matching and even preliminary checks. as a result, a fair and ehtical outcome is achieved, where the only the very best receive the honor of the A’ design award.
