the A’ design award and competition is an annual awards platform that exemplifies only the very best in architecture and design. it aims to recognize, highlight and showcase good designs, innovators and brands, and rewards the winning entries with global publicity, professional opportunities and an extensive set of prizes. as well, every year the latest winners are announced in a special feature on designboom.

the A’ design awards & competition calls for architects, designers and innovators alike to submit their very best work. what differentiates the platform from other awards is that it offers entrants with over 100 different categories to submit to. to name just a few, these include furniture, decorative items and homeware design; lighting products and projects design; architecture, building and structure design; interior space and exhibition design; packaging design; and footwear, shoes and boots design. this extensive and diverse range of categories ensures projects are submitted to the one most relevant to them. furthermore, it also enables the international jury panel – made of academics, design professionals and press members – to fairly and methodically judge each class.

year after year, the competition has become internationally-renowned and symbolic for excellence in the creative field. as such, the awards are highly sought after. as well as famed, credibility and worldwide publicity, winners also receive a wide-ranging winner pack, which includes a special exhibition, feature in the competition’s yearbook, inclusion in the world design rankings, and an invitation to the gala night that is ideal for further networking. these go alongside invaluable feedback notes from the judges, and also the coveted A’ design award trophy.
