2021 IE spaces for creativity competition seeks nursery school designs

aiming to attract young design enthusiasts from all over the world, IE school of architecture & design launches ‘spaces for creativity’ – an idea-based competition calling for inspirational nursery school designs. first introduced in 2020, the platform encourages sensitivity as individuals envision educational settings that boost creativity. concepts should be unique and fresh as they express a dramatic change in the sector. most importantly, the winners (one 1^st prize and three 2^nd prizes) have the possibility to obtain a scholarship in the renowned school’s interior design program.

inviting students and newly graduates from any design-related field , IE school of architecture & design asks for proposals that nurture a fun, welcoming and creativity-driven environment for 15 children aged 3-6 years old. being the only set requirement, this allows all contestants to put their originality to the test. the projects should promote playfulness and originality – features that help reflect a child’s personality and character as well as their education.

being one of the leading creative schools in europe, IE school of architecture & design seeks to promote and encourage students’ work globally. it does so by uniquely honoring all submitted projects through a virtual exhibition available on their dedicated competition’s platform. granting online exposure as such, and thus recognizability, can trigger countless business-related connections for the students. moreover, each submission will be carefully examined by the elaborate, experienced jury panel, which will then specially mention the winner, runner ups and honorable projects. contestants are free to express their drawings in any graphical representation they wish.

IE ‘spaces for creativity’ offers four finalists admissions to its ‘master in strategic interior design’ program. in fact, the degree’s tuition fees of €11,000 and €9,000 for first prize and second respectively, cover the academic year 2021-22. with the opportunity to join the IE, students are given the tools and knowledge to approach any emerging challenges in the world of design. these encompass the four main types of spaces that continuously undergo changes: work, retail, hospitality, and learning environments.
