modular 3PLY assemble stool stacks in versatile configurations of three tiers
three layers of different colors and materials combine to set up the stool.
a symbiotic relationship between proportions and color
Sleek and customizable, the modular 3PLY ASSEMBLE STOOL is a dynamic furniture series crafted by Seoul-based designer Jaeyoung Kim. The collection, as its name suggests, revolves around the concept of three — manifested in three layers, structures, and materials. Each stool’s legs and seat are intricately connected, creating a symbiotic relationship and sense of balance while offering a canvas for various color combinations on its divided surfaces. The connections work in harmony to support each other, as the motif of layered forms in the architecture manifests as a unique sense of proportionality felt in the divided sections.

jaeyoung kim’s tiered stool offers versatile configurations
Mirroring Jaeyong Kim’s multidisciplinary background, the stool for 3PLY inspires creativity in its users, useable as a side table or sculptural decor object. The collection is customizable and enables play with color. By applying different hues to each part, the ASSEMBLE STOOL allows for the creation of a rich tone and manner within a single furniture piece. This flexibility caters to diverse sensibilities and tastes, providing consumers with the freedom to curate a personalized aesthetic.
