with the deadline to enter the 2019 A’ design award and competition closing on february 28, 2019, designboom highlights the winners of the furniture, decorative items and homeware design category from the 2018 edition. each year, the awards platform recognizes, showcases and promotes the very best projects in architecture and design. winning entries receive an extensive benefits and opportunities package – as well as being published in a special ‘winners’ feature on designboom.

as well as the furniture, decorative items and homeware design category, the A’ design award & competition asks architects, designers and innovators to submit their projects into one of over 100 different categories. these include: lighting products and projects design; architecture, building and structure design; interior space and exhibition design; packaging design; and footwear, shoes and boots design. this diverse range of categories ensures that designs are entered into the one most relevant. this also enables the international jury panel, who comprise of academics, design professionals and press members, to fairly judge each class.

with a wide-ranging winner pack awaiting designers, the competition’s top prizes are highly sought after. as well as fame, credibility and publicity, winners also receive a special exhibition, a feature in the competition’s yearbook, an award trophy, inclusion in the world design rankings, and an invitation to the gala night that is ideal for further networking.
