A’ design award & competition – last call for entries

designers, innovators and companies from various creative fields and different levels of experience who wish to gain maximum exposure on their brand and product developments, are invited to submit their projects to the A’ design award and competition – a platform which seeks to promote good design and related companies to the broader public.

the annually organized A’ design award and competition has become internationally recognized as an indicator of quality, accepting designs from all stages of the development process – from the concept stage, prototype or completed product – judging something on its idea and potential market outreach with press, interactive medias, distributors and buyers. that being said, it is the A’ design award and competition’s primary aim to create publicity, pushing public relations and advertising opportunities for its winners, while simultaneously supporting global design culture.

participants are invited to submit their entries under various categories which have been divided according to locorno classification, economic sectors and industries. some of these include: architecture, building and structure design; fashion and travel accessories design; interior space and exhibition design; energy products and devices design; vehicle, mobility and transportation design; and street furniture design. a full listing of the categories can be viewed here.

winners of the A’ design award and competition gain recognition and credibility in their respective fields. each recipient of an A’ design prize will receive a comprehensive winners’ kit that focuses on developing an extensive PR campaign for the individual, as well as an invitation to a gala-night where they will have the opportunity to network with like-minded industry players and where their work will be exhibited. additionally, they will be featured in a yearbook which rounds up all of the winners and their respective designs, and included in the world design rankings. additional benefits are the translation of their press material into 20+ languages for a more global distribution, encompassing outreach to magazines and blogs; and a score sheet which indicates the grading of their project.

for 2013-2014, the jury is comprised of 50 international design professionals and academics. they will review each of the submissions and base their decision on conceptual merit, social and cultural relevance.
