this sustainable prefab cabin can extend your living space within some weeks

a sustainable prefab home

in collaboration with USA-based abodu, koto studio has created their first sustainable prefabricated home, marrying scandinavian simplicity with californian twist. conceived as home expansion or guest accommodation, the abodu modular cabin offers a cozy well-lit interior that can be built in the backyard of your house, providing maximum comfortable space in a minimum area. large glazings express a strong connection with the surrounding nature, all the while blurring the boundaries between inside and outside. though the structure consists of limited space that prioritizes openness for natural light, it doesn’t compromise the privacy and comforts of its inhabitants.

embodying scandinavian aesthetics

combining fine aesthetics with contemporary touches, the pre-designed unit is an ideal solution for homeowners looking to expand their liveable space for work and play, or for flexible guest-hosting solutions. the sleek cabins are delivered in a highly finished state, with a little work done on-site. on average, this stage can be completed within some weeks, while the whole process can last approximately four months. this way, you can easily obtain an accessory dwelling without the need to deal with the bureaucracy of city hall.

the cabin reflects a minimal place that prioritizes comfort, all while embodying modern design of the highest quality. each space is completed with full-size appliances, designed to be spacious and inviting, generating an energy-efficient and environmentally friendly home.

the pre-designed abodu units can be handpicked from three options, alongside custom features to make each space thoughtfully unique. each home is supplied with a selection of finishes and premium appliances to suit the owner\s requirements. landscaping, external decking, and a curated furniture package are also available.
