born from experiments with different methods of joining metal pipes, achodoso estudio has created a wall hook with character. conceived by the studio, the ‘in_tube’ technique involves making a partial cut to the outside of a curved pipe in order to expose the diameter of the inner tube. in this way, a second pipe can be inserted into the first.

a by-product of the technique is achodoso estudio’s ‘in_tube’ wall hook, a project that borrows the visual result of the process and applies it to the slightly more modest task of the coat-hanger — to elegant effect. a synthesis of the original technique, the wall hook is a functional object that adapts to any environment, and allows you to hang your belongings easily and comfortably.

designed for both household and contract sales, the ‘in_tube’ wall hook is versatile, and available in a number of different colors and arrangements. the main hook — shaped from oak or beech — extends out of its curved shell, creating a sleek bond of lacquered metal and natural wood. the piece attaches seamlessly to the wall to which it is attached — an arc of color, frozen in time.
