ACTIU bend modular soft seating adapts for work spaces and needs

created by the stone design studio, the ACTIU ‘bend’ is a collection of modular soft seating that introduces flexibility, movement and life to work spaces and contract offices. its organic form sources influence from the meanders along rivers, where one flowing curve leads to another. in detail, its smooth nature continues with soft yet supportive edges and highly textured fabric. the result is an energetic and adaptable furniture range that enables spaces to be divided and different areas generated, forming places where users can relax, work and meet.

showcased at orgatec 2016, where ACTIU presented the ‘cool working’ exhibition, the ‘bend’ modular seating utilizes different depths and forms to create an organic shape that is neither linear nor uniform. this follows a desire to deliver an open configuration where the furniture can be customized continuously for simplicity, comfort and varied use. as part of this, the collection includes: desks with satellite electricity for charging any device; a central desk with a flowerpot; backrests with improved comfort; and supplementary smaller desks for items such as mobile phones.

the range includes seats with or without backrests; small desks; desks with electricity ports; and more

positioned perfectly within modern workspaces, the ACTIU ‘bend’ caters for office environments by adapting and forming different areas for multiple uses. from a comfy circular bench for informal meetings to an individual island for a personal phone call, the furniture facilitates many needs whilst doing so with an influx of lifestyle elements. its flower pots, small tables and even its rich textile helps bring a further sense of fun, energy and employment into the office interiors.

its flexibility enables spaces to be used for a variety of activities at work

the ‘bend’ collection is the first collaboration between ACTIU and the stone design studio, made up of the madrid residents cutu mazuelos and eva prego. the design reflects their philosophy, which is closely linked to nature and simplicity.
