originally debuting at MOST as part of the fuori salone programme of milan design week, ‘adidas by tom dixon’ officially presents ‘minimalist traveler’, a bespoke footwear collection by performance brand adidas and designer tom dixon that celebrates mobility, modularity and a 21st century lifestyle. matched with british ingenuity and innovation, the series comes available in two different cuts – a low-top and high-top collapsible unstructured shoe variation. featured in three alternative color-ways, the ‘minimalist traveler’ collection incorporates a selection of raw canvas and rough suedes for its upper construction, complemented with the addition of deep-groove soles, rubberized treated toe caps and heels and a tonal derby style lacing system. all three pieces from the ‘minimalist traveler’ collection are now available at SSENSE.

  • Those are some Fugly shoes.. I guess if you are famous you think you can sell anything.

    JimCan says:
  • Wow, the ugliest shoes, I have ever seen. It may be a matter of taste. So names sell and sex too, these shoes look like a non sexy, former east german design (remember the iron curtain and GDR). They invented some crazy things for lack of good material.
Friendly regards Frank, funny but do not understand;o)) I am a designer and I do not want to be negative, destructive and envious…
    o.k. in this case, I am ;o))

    YINKANA Frank Kleist says:
  • Weirdly i love ’em. particularly the white /grey suede looking ones. Not elegant but handsome in their funkiness and channelling old school toecap formal shoes mixed with african tyre tread footwear using recycled materials.

    martin richman says:
  • I like the shoes (the upper) but with those soles there is no way I’m buying.
    What were they thinking?

    Gunnar Bruun says:
  • I love the Blue and the Black. Not so much the Gray, though. They’d be great with jeans and look both comfortable and durable.
