hong kong‘s recently restored central police station takes on its new role as an arts and culture center with an exhibition that celebrates its history. designed by ADO culture, 100 faces of tai kwun explores the intricate relationships within the neighborhood with interviews featuring ex-officers, ex-offenders, shop owners, kaifongs, journalists and film directors whose lives have been intertwined with the station.

the inaugural exhibition by ADO culture features a wireframe skeleton structure similar to the form of the central police station, completed with neon signboards that offer visitors a glimpse into its long vanished appearance. the various stories and facets are displayed in multiple media including illustrations, films and portraits that showcase a hundred ways to retrospect and celebrate the prosperous tai kwun.
