french agency 360 have redesigned the graphic identity of the mont faron cable stations in the south of france. the site was originally constructed by the architect pascalet in 1959, and it is an important aspect of the historic town of toulon. this renovation fifty four years later saw agency 360 being responsible for the details and graphic work on the site, under the guidance of architect loïc gestin. the aim was to create an international experience and the development of a new visual identity, rooted in the history of the site. a simple typographic treatment and upgrading of the site’s facilities with modern sinage has helped to upgrade the overall area.

also, the furniture pieces were based on the shape of a boat and draws from a timeless aesthetic that fits in with the surrounding architecture. wanting to create a sense of discovery along the route, the design seeks to encourage people to want to know more about the history of the city and mount faron. the overall visual experience has been extended to booklets, postcards and even a little construction game for children.
