london and stockholm-based sustainable design studio, aker collective created the ‘take and make’ lamp project. the series has very few components and may be assembled by hand in various combinations by the person possessing a kit from the collection. the lampshades are oiled and dyed ash while their shape is held in their cone shape only by rubber bands and wooden dowels. the aker collective created the series with a vision of a consumer driven design in both form, sensibility and function.
