‘copper collection’ by dutch designer aldo bakker, rethinks classic household items with a more sublime and meticulous approach to form, expressing a celebratory restraint through the series of copper objects. here, pourers relinquish their liquid by the drop, watering cans hold no room for water, and mixing bowls take on forms which redefine their typically unsung functions. the collection is produced by thomas eyck and will be on show as part of droog‘s presentation at design miami / basel from june 15th – 19th, 2010.
