valencia-based alegre industrial studio have collaborated with japanese metal manufacturing specialists katzden architec to develop a series of aluminum urban bike stands. both ‘cesta’ and ‘sitbike’ have been designed with the user in mind — the collection includes a vertical bicycle stand and dynamic seating. built using techniques similar to the production of steel staircases and railing systems, the modular street installations can be used in a variety of contexts: lock-up your bike with ‘cesta’ during a quick grocery store visit, or relax on the ‘sitbike’ bench after a long day of cycling around town.
