dwyane wade and alejandro ingelmo launch their way of wade third element sneaker collection


on december, 2nd, 2014, kicking off art basel miami beach, the magazine haute living and the webster hosted a soiree for the grand unveiling of dwyane wade’s new sneaker model. the three colorways shoe has been designed in a collaboration between NBA player / designer dwyane wade and shoe designer / creative consultant alejandro ingelmo, for the way of wade ‘third element’ collection for the li-ning company, one of the leading sports brand companies in china.


available in iridescent gold/black, black/silver and purple/black, ‘third element’ was presented at the ritz carlton residences and the collection was available publicly in limited quantities for the first time exclusively at the webster, a luxury multi-brand boutique, in miami beach. retail for $325 each.




upon arrival, guests began their journey through live art installations, talking entryways, enchanting creatures as centerpieces, and surprises from the unknown. the event was conceived by female miami-based stylist calyann barnett, since 2007 creative director of the ‘brand’ wade. barnett partnered with chromat to provide a wardrobe of structural garments that are ‘experiments for the human body’ and a one of a kind sneaker was created for the event — with 5 carat white diamond and 18 karat white gold lace dubrae, created by jason of beverly hills.  



wade hopes that he could do for li-ning what michael jordan did for nike. 



wade wanted a collection for lifestyle wear that could be as comfortable as his everyday wear on the basketball floor.
