‘la via lattea’

yesterday at the triennale museum, milan alessi presented two new designs; ‘la via lattea’ and ‘cum grano salis’, for their fall/ winter 2009 collection.

‘la via lattea’ is the name of the project which is made up of two sets of knives for cutting and serving hard and soft cheeses. included in the two sets is a ‘guide to cutting and tasting 35 italian cheeses and the major european cheeses’.

designed by anna and gian franco gasparini and produced by knife makers berti of scarperia, tuscany, these knives were created to meet the requirements of private cheese lovers as well as those of food experts.
