alex garnett: skull lamps

UK-based designer alex garnett‘s ‘goliath’ pendant skull lamps are appropriate for halloween. created from a cast of a giant skull, garnett hand produces each one from bone china. hung around your home, one may wonder… ‘who let the skeletons out of the closet?’

  • I would like it better with the bottom Jaw. Come on! it looks broken. Also then you could have a little fun with it if it swiveled.

  • choosing porcelain as the medium
    is sheer (lol) brilliance (lol)

  • Personally i love them!
Finally someting original and brutally fresh…
Also a nice parody of the “all organic forms” fashion that haunts design for many years now…
To hang or not to hang them this is the question?
(I will gladly hang them if i can afford them :/)

  • happy halloween

  • Macabre, anatomical concept for a Neuro-cranial physicians’ office maybe. Not everything that can be hanged out to be considered Art.
