with its latest series of unique pieces, spanish company amarist refers to the ‘alma collection’ as, ‘a travel through senses inspired by the power of exotic nature and shamanic magical wisdom.’ this approach can be seen through the appearance of the console table and mirror that form the set, each of which is handmade with palo santo exotic wood sheets from the amazonas.

the result is a pure reflection of nature. an artisan uses the natural winding patterns of the wood to create geometrical compositions that adorn the furniture. the straight and angular lines are deeply carved into the timber, an aesthetic which is meant to provide a commentary on the juxtaposition between nature and human transformation.
