aperture is an interactive installation by frédéric eyl and gunnar green from the university of the arts berlin. it is a wall consisting of an ‘iris diaghram matrix’ (similar to an aperture in a camera) that responds to light with variable opening diameters. in this way, visual information from one side of the wall (inside) is also viewed on the other side (outside) changing our perception of the permeability of solid structures.
