AXOR FUTURES OPENS ON NOVEMBER 9

AXOR, the creators of iconic objects for luxurious bathrooms and kitchens, debuts a new digital dialogue platform for designers, architects, contractors and design enthusiasts, called AXOR futures. scheduled for november 9, 2021, the first event focuses on the theme of ‘precious space’ – a pressing topic in a world of increasing urbanization. the megatrend of ‘compact luxury’ will explore design possibilities that help realize luxury in smaller spaces in the future.

AXOR identified the megatrend of ‘compact luxury’ as the world becomes increasingly urbanized – and will continue so in the future. rapid urbanization has lifted customers’ expectations at home higher than ever but left space at a premium. the concept recognizes that new urban luxury is not measured only in square meters nor the quality of one’s private time; it is about the individual experience in a space. in response, the design brand creates objects that are timeless in style and quality, and express one’s individuality while enabling living consciously, holistically and harmoniously.

‘our idea of luxury has changed. true luxury is no longer a question of size, but of the individual experience in, and with, space. we call it ‘compact luxury’ and believe that this will be the future of urban living. to further explore this theory, we have invited some experts in the field to share their thoughts with us,’ says anke sohn, head of global brand marketing AXOR.

anke sohn leads the talk, conversing the theme of precious space and the design possibilities of ‘compact luxury’ with foremost and finest creatives in the design community. chris sanderson (co-founder of the future laboratory), cédric waldburger (investor and minimalist), and jay osgerby (co-founder of studio barber osgerby and AXOR design partner) join the design dialogue to share their own expertise.
