balenciaga‘s latest fashion design phenomenon is a speed knit sneaker taking inspiration from german supermarket giant edeka. bright in canary yellow the design uses the edeka logo, replacing its graphic with the balenciaga emblem accompanied by the inspirational line ‘the power of dreams‘.

the new shoe is not the first time balenciaga has made reference to the supermarket. the shoes is a continuation of ‘the power of dreams’ range featuring a bag, sweater, t-shirt and hoodie. the super-normcore pieces also includes an IKEA-inspired tote bag as well as some other humorous releases: the car mat looking skirt and the famed balenciaga crocs that sold out fast. the shoe is currently available in a women’s style via barneys
