the 2013 beijing international jewelry art exhibition, held at the world art museum during beijing design week, presented more than 1200 unique designs, created by over 300 artists from 45 countries and regions. the selection of cutting edge pieces offered a survey of the latest concepts and trends in the industry.

the show was curated under the theme of ‘jewelry*identity’, offering an extensive survey of local and internationally produced works that expressed the diversity of the practice–from materials to form; while also conveying the influence that culture (and the exchanges between different ones), informs the concepts and craftsmanship of the showcased pieces.
