‘crane’, designed by benjamin hubert for orsjo

created by british industrial designer benjamin hubert, ‘crane’ is an adjustable tabletop task lamp, developed for swedish design and manufacturing company orsjo. the piece is currently on display at the stockholm furniture fair 2011.

benjamin hubert: crane for orsjo the horizontal arm can be rotated and adjusted in height

the perforated aluminum tube contains LED lights to provide illumination to the project at hand. modeled after architectural cranes, simple lines and clamps compose the rest of the piece, whose horizontal arm can be raised and lowered as well as rotated.

the lamps feature knurled detailing, in reference to orsjo’s history of manufacturing and metalwork.
