‘paddle’, designed by benjamin hubert for fabbian

‘paddle’, by british designer benjamin hubert for italian lighting manufacturers fabbian, is an LED task light designed to provide optimal lighting in a range of working environments.

hinged on a rotating ball at both the base and the connecting arm, the lamps feature multiple axes of movement, so that the angle and height of both the stand and the head are independently adjustable. the pressed aluminum paddle head and bright lights of the LED are contrasted with a body composed of either ash timber of texture lacquered aluminum.

modeled after the movement of a canoe blade through water, the collection tempers its utilitarian, architectural aesthetic with the more fluid, adaptable nature of its intended use.
