woodnwonder is a danish studio founded by artist-turned-designer bente hovendal. if not apparent by the name, the studio is entirely devoted to the realm of sculptural, sustainable, handcrafted wooden furnishings; which are produced with some fine-tuned chainsawing and an abundance of hand shaping and finishing. ’round table with stone inlay’ is a douglas fir creating that reflects the organic, raw traits of nature. the surface is donned with a single, smooth beach stone which can be removed, rearranged, and played with. beneath, is a massive leg that received similar treatment, featuring a small collection of rocks permanently installed in the hollows.
