‘make a wish’ ring – gold plated

‘make a wish’ interprets the moment of happiness felt when blowing out candles on a cake. designed by UK-based bettina nissen, the iconic birthday cake candle holder is transformed into a piece of jewelry that serves as a keepsake of one’s special day. buried in a cake as a surprise or presented in its packaging, the product is fabricated using 3D printing or rapid prototyping by which a high power laser fuses small particles of plastic or metal into three-dimensional objects. the pieces are hand-finished to achieve the dyed colored nylon or gold plated metal rings. ‘make a wish’ rings are available in 5 material or color options and come in 3 ring sizes. the rings are produced by shapeways.
