from complex architectural or artistic objects to rock solid engineering parts, the BigRep ONE has been developed by german designers marcel tasler and lukas oehmigen to create a new dimension for 3D printing and 3D manufacturing. while having 27 times the volume of a large desktop 3D printer, the CNC is capable of producing volumes of over one cubic meter in size, making it possible to produce models in 1:1 scale, or to create final products, such as furniture pieces, directly with the rapid prototyping process. the device can print using over 8 different materials and is fully constructed with an aluminum frame, incorporating high-quality machined components for guaranteeing thousands of successful printing hours.
