‘springtime’ by jeriël bobbe

warmer weather brings the perfect climate for riding bikes and enjoying nature by having a picnic in the park. dutch designer jeriël bobbe of bloon design brings the joys of these activities together with ‘springtime’, a concept for a picnic basket system which has been conceived in such a way that it can easily be attached to a bike rack for easy transportation. including the typical objects such as plates, cups and cutlery along with ample space to store your food, it also boasts extra amenities in the form of a table for two and chairs, offering more comfort to picnickers.

  • Very nice. Although no adult can sit in front of each other, there is no leg space, but for little kids it will be a joyful ensemble!

    Paul says:
  • How can I buy one of these. It’s marvelous!

    Neil says:

    Bloon says:
  • Nice concept, I fully agree with the leg space comment.

I have another question however : how have you dealt with the question of fine particles getting ingrained into the contact surfaces of the stools ? Is dirt even an issue ?

On a related note : given the flat surfaces supporting your system, are there any stability issues ? How did you factor in the issue of uneven ground?

    Romain says:
  • How much does it weight ?

    Yoann says:
  • What kind of bicycle is that?

    Peatear says:
  • beautiful

    Jan says:
  • Complimets how you made it!

Picnicking is going in the field eat/ lie on a blanket and try out all kinds of relaxed positions. Is It relaxed to sit 1 hour on a 30cm2 wood crate.
As a designer we have to think of nowadays product, product where the world is asking for. Think what we really really need! I think we designed here a needless product.
