BKID develops hybrid dog harness with a lightweight, retractable leash module for 'tailhigh'

industrial design studio, BKID, has developed an all-in-one hybrid dog harness with an integrated lightweight, retractable leash module and a 1.5 m (5ft) tape-type leash. designed for outdoor dog equipment brand, tailhigh, the product is equipped with an innovative technology that allows users to control or free their dog at any time. the hybrid harness eliminates the need for an additional leash as it comes with one already, making it easier for dogs to get on and off the car without the hassle of locating their leash.

using innovative technology, BKID designed the hybrid harness for tailhigh as a comfortable and safe way for dog-owners to be with their companion. the product is equipped with a patented seat belt principle of two-way-lock safety stop technology. this way, if a dog pulls a string quickly during an unexpected move, the safety function automatically stops the cord even if its owner misses the handle.

the harness is made of breathable, soft EVA foam and mesh fabric for a comfortable fit. its light reflective stitch and logo ensure visibility in dark conditions, while the Y-shaped chest pad minimizes chest compressions when the dog is pulling. the hybrid harness comes in three sizes – S, M, L – and three colors, which include sunset pink, himalayan blue, and moss green.
