the ‘bamboo windsor chair’ by bo reudler + olav bruin will make its public debut at london design festival 2012 as part of the ‘connecting the dots’ exhibition held at TENT london.

a first prize winner of the ‘home interiors’ category of the TIFF award 2012 which designboom hosted – in collaboration with the thailand department of export promotion (DEP), ministry of commerce, royal thai government, and the thailand international furniture fair – the chair looks at the traditional aesthetic of bamboo furniture and combines it with the lines of the windsor chair, resulting in a contemporary iteration of the classic design.  ‘dendrocalamus strictus’ bamboo is used in combination with rattan to construct each unique piece, which are finished in a coat of natural linseed oil.
