boris dennler pays homage to native american design with nom de bleu!

the native american navajo tribe may seem like a far off influence for a swiss designer, but that’s exactly the case with boris dennler of boris lab. taking notes of the countless patterns and designs of the largest native population in the united states, he created the ‘nom de bleu!’ desk. the object combines 10mm painted metal with a surface and drawer of solid and veneered walnut. the light yet robust structure — which was fabricated by bergermétal — was presented at ventura lambrate during milan design week 2015.
