truss can be assembled in various contexts
bouroullec brothers (see more here) in collaboration with emeco (here) created a simple and flexible yet elegant solution that can be adjusted in various conditions: at home, café, office, even for outdoors. ‘truss’ utilizes a robust aluminum frame joined with a traditional truss system, while its side panels are clad in durable douglas fir plywood, that can handle extreme loads.
finely perforated aluminum surfaces top the metal structures giving an appealing touch. the collection includes tables, benches and sofas which come in three sizes and can be assembled together depending on the users’ needs. meanwhile, upholstered cushions add comfort and charm to the sofas and benches.

‘simplicity is a long process. truss was to be naked and it took a while to strip it down to the best minimum.
what is simplicity? it’s a kind of transparency when the nature of things appears.’ said they designers. it is a state where eyes understand everything while people’s behaviour is not compromised by a stylish figure. we believe truss is generous with the openness it provides. it’s made for a group, it’s made for a space, it’s made to be together’.
