the project by fabrizio gurrado (IS architecture and design) intends to merge the world of nature and the world of technology. both of these worlds seem to share some characteristics, in terms of creative expression. they prefer rounded shapes and use colors that are reminiscent of nature, while they also use organic organizational systems. in addition, the design has also been heavily inspired by the ‘space age’ era, drawing influence from several aesthetic elements of the 60s.

as the natural color by definition, bright green has been applied throughout the interior, to cover all surfaces (floor, ceiling, furniture), while transforming everything into an abstract space. in the lobby a curved ‘space shuttle’ makes the walls appear as if they are made of rustic plaster. here, instead of being perfectly circular, the arches have a natural curvature more similar to caves rather than planes. the oversize ceiling lamp works as an artificial acrylic sun that brightens up the lobby area and then there are plants, palms and cactus in every corner. the space is completed with synthetic floors in avocado green color and desaturated wood.

velvet curtains, rustic plaster, and futuristic lamps create a juxtaposition between natural and technological
