briiv has a patent pending combination of four natural and fully biodegradable filters. once these filters reach the end of their lives they can be discarded or preferably composted and will break down fully within 3-4 months, creating no landfill or impact to our earth. ‘growing up in the british countryside, we took for granted how the quality of the air we breathe can impact the quality of our lives, until we moved to the city and suddenly found the air we were breathing in was causing damage to our well-being and provoking long forgotten allergies,’ comments the briiv team. ‘we wanted the city life but with the fresh, clean air of the countryside. our mission is to prove to the world that it is possible to create biodegradable and circular electronic products without compromising on quality.’ 

briiv uses a four stage filter which includes; moss, coconut fiber, activated carbon and wool. these layers all work together to effectively improve the air quality in any room whilst also being completely biodegradable at the end of their lives. the main body is formed from a new bio-plastic called vibers, which is made from a combination of elephant grass and waste potato starch and can be completely broke down into natural elements at the end of its life. briiv can filter a standard 4m x 4m room in under 30 minutes, costs almost nothing to run due to its optimized 5V design and is designed with the user in mind, meaning it’s more than a standard white air purifying cube and is made to complement your homes interior instead of being a focal point.
