although the objects may be static, the use of the fluorescent shapes create a sense of movement and transformation. the campana brothers the furniture plays with this idea different weights seen through the use of the light and transparent glass in juxtaposition to the solid wood. the contrast between different elements and materials is a common trait associated with the designers, who state ‘we love creating hybrids using distinct materials, one warm and the other cold. this has become part of our language when designing.’ the pieces express a spirited yet focused approach towards furniture design which reflects the tongue-in-cheek nature of the campana brothers.

the aquário collection is the campana brothers’ first project for BD barcelona, and is on show at salone del mobile 2016.
