the campana brothers‘ distinct design identity meets the ironic universe of FENDI‘s bag bugs’ for realization of ‘the armchair of thousand eyes’. more than 100 of the italian fashion house’s furry monster accessories have been creatively assembled by fernando and humberto campana into a unique seating object. both in its construction process and aesthetic, the piece intentionally refers to the ‘banquete’, one of the campana’s most successful seat models created with stuffed animal toys hand sewed on canvas, covering a stainless steel structure.

presented during milan design week 2015 in collaboration galleria o. roma, the special edition ‘armchair of thousand eyes’ is finished in gilded brass and vibrantly colored fur of kidassia, mongolia, shearling and rabbit. ‘when I saw the bag bugs, these FENDI little monster charms, for the very first time, I thought that they would be perfect for creating a striking chair’ humberto campana describes. ‘one year later it is exactly what has happened, thanks to silvia venturini fendi who involved me in this project.’
