influenced by the prestige of automotive and car design, israeli industrial designer, sivan shiran, has created a series of soft and colorful evening clutch-purses for women. the collection is part of a final project at H.I.T (holon institute of technology, israel), ‘CARina’ were made by casting elastic polyurethane into a unisex pattern. the edge of the purse references the sleek forms in automotive design – creating an asymmetric, dynamic, fresh, new character for the feminine object.  the manufacturing process created one whole bag, without the need of sewing. this technique is perhaps a new technological-industrial revolution for purse production. sivan developed two soft clutch-purses, made with the same production method, the pieces have closing magnets and enough space for a series of objects every women needs for a night out.
