though most korean furniture emphasize harmonious integration of forms and materials, the two designers have approached their project differently. through the use of unfamiliar materials and texture experimentation, the resulting product presents a typical korean ‘soban’ seat and legs, joined with a stainless steel back rest. the high and thick back of the chair made in a korea traditional way shows the strong structural contrast with the carved wood. the materials used on it are a hard walnut wood and stainless steel of hairline details.
