CASE-REAL was asked to renovate the tokyo branch of lynn inkoop ltd.,’s. the company that focuses on importing european lighting and building materials requested a workspace that encouraged interaction between employees. keeping this in mind CASE-REAL designed a bespoke table where the manufacturer’s various office situations — be it daily tasks, presentations, parties — could be conducted, functioning as a hub for individuals. the streamlined ‘big table’ has been conceived with soft curves, and features a table top that is made from the same material as the flooring found throughout the space; which also happens to be one of the products that lynn inkoop distributes. the solid work surface has smooth joints and is supported by a steel base that has been structured to balance out the heaviness that can be felt by the size of the furniture, left to give an openness below. various electric outlets and LAN cables are integrated into the table, making it a viable and effective work station.
