casey chen: 'I heart singapore' at asia now

singaporean designer casey chen has created the ‘I heart singapore’ icon, a tribute to his home country. influenced by milton glaser’s ‘I heart new york’ icon, chen’s design incorporate’s singapore’s flag, presented in the shape of a heart. chen has produced a set of pins with the icon as a means of spreading some patriotic singaporean love.

‘my heart’ was used as background illustration to represent the singapore section of designboom’s ‘asia now‘ exhibition at dwell on design in los angeles. the bold graphic was imposed on expansive wall panels showing the work of singaporean designers and artists.
